A Wor(l)d of Agritourism: Definitions and Values Identified by the Global Agritourism Network

November 18 @ 12:0013:00 EST

Agritourism is defined in different ways around the world, which can lead to confusion and miscommunications in practice, policy, and research. To provide clarity and consistency, the Global Agritourism Network (GAN) Definitions and Standards Committee has been meeting regularly for three years, bringing together diverse perspectives and seeking common ground.

In this webinar, leaders of the committee will describe the process and share the agreed upon definition, values, and acknowledgement of global agritourism variability. The definition and values presented are grounded in real-world examples gathered from diverse regions. The webinar will close with next steps for continuing the work of defining agritourism.
